Our session will be held May 9-22

We are excited to slowly build back up to our pre-pandemic multi-week sessions! This year we are so happy to offer our community a 2-week session. Students can apply to attend 1 or both weeks. Cost (per week) is outlined below!

Week 1: May 9-15 | Week 2: May 16-22

STUDENT APPS will close on Sunday, APril 28th

Scholarship and faculty application deadlines have passed.

Anyone can apply to attend SotA, as long as you are 18+! At SotA, everyone has the opportunity to hold every role: we all perform work service, faculty and staff attend classes, and as a student, you can teach pop-up classes. Our programming is self-directed: you choose which classes you want to take!

tuition:

We haven’t raised tuition since our first session in 2016, and our deep hope was always to LOWER it, to make SotA MORE accessible. But, with a few years off for the pandemic, significantly increasing overhead, and our commitment to gradual, steady fundraising efforts from our all-volunteer staff, it is likely that we may have to raise our tuition in the coming years.

We want to offer transparency here, and this year we will continue to offer the $400 rate. We are also offering increased rates that put us closer to breaking even on our sessions, while still offering our budgetted scholarships and small staff stipends.

We will ask that selected students choose one of the following: (this is the price per week)

$ 400: Community Rate

This is what our tuition has been since 2016, and while we acknowledge this number may need to change for 2025, we wanted to continue to offer it this year with transparency about our current costs. If this is the max you can afford, please select this option!

$$ 575: Resourced Rate

Our actual cost per student.

$$$
800: Justice Rate

This not only covers the cost of your being at SotA ($575), but contributes to meeting our operational deficits incurred by not raising the rate for all this year.
