Our work service program is an integral component of our community life at SotA. All students, faculty, and staff work together to make our community function. This further promotes both a sense of community and collaboration, and further connects us to both the land and each other. Our collaborative work service program is how we sustain, how everyone, including organizers and staff, are able to fully participate. We all do a little so no one person is carrying all of the weight.

Student work service is held for two hours every day, and students are divided into work groups that cycle through each work program: Kitchen, Garden, and Operations

Kitchen Work Service: Helps prepare lunch with a kitchen staff member.

Operations Work Service: Ensures smooth operations at school, setting up classrooms, maintaining common spaces, making the logistics of SotA as seamless as possible - ie hosting!

Garden -We volunteer at our local community garden, at the home of community members down the street.

Since we leave morning open for faculty to work on their classes, Faculty Work service rotates between lunch cleanup, dinner prep, and dinner cleanup.
